Genuine and bespoke

Founded 172 years ago by a Mississippi boat captain as a summer residence for his family, our mountain-side estate fuses heritage with feisty modern flair, combining indoor and outdoor event spaces, with solid rain plans in place.

Unlike many blank-canvas venues, we strive to offer a series of uniquely curated settings, with exceptional attention to detail.

One venue, four locations

Our 50-acre place offers a majestic pine grove for your ceremony, a hilltop pavilion with stunning mountain views for cocktail hour, a roofed dining terrace, and an 1850s redesigned carriage barn for dancing and lounging.

Plus: a get-ready cottage, extensive gardens, spring-fed ponds, fields and woods, and a spectacular bonfire ready for s’mores.

Seasonal, sustainable food

Our chef Leah Detreville cooks with seasonal and fresh ingredients, using as many local, home-grown products as possible, and combining them with international flavors and cooking techniques.

Sustainable, seasonal, local. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Words truly cannot describe how incredible this venue is. Casper and his staff were incredibly professional, helpful and kind.

What Roxbury Barn and Estate stands for

What we stand for

Love is love

With two venue owners who are also a gay and interracial couple, inclusivity and diversity are a central part of who we are. With a no-cookie-cutter approach, we help create weddings that reflect each couple’s unique personality.

We won’t surprise you with hidden fees. Our policies are mapped out in detail. There are no kickbacks or commissions. We are upfront about our rates, and our pricing and recommendations are honest and clear.

Living Green

Our chef and her team source what the season brings, working with ingredients at their peak in flavor, depending on the harvesting range of our local producers. It minimizes food miles, reduces energy input, and sustains the local economy.

We believe celebrations should never be approached as a “package”. We love creating welcoming settings and experiences that inspire and delight our guests. We skip cliché wedding trends and explore our own ideas.
