“We were in awe of the entire place”

“Our moms helped us get ready and walked us down the aisle, which meant everything to Kris and me,” says Talisa. “It’s important to see more photos of mothers walking their daughters down the aisles, the mamas who have been one giant parent. It was less about giving us away, and more like they were guiding us through this next step of our lives.”

“Nothing short of magical”

“The whole setting is so romantic, and it just felt really right to be in this quiet, peaceful grove of very tall trees to make this commitment to each other. Shakespeare has a quote, “One touch of nature makes the whole world kin”. It felt so special to be in this gorgeous place to join our two families.”

“Gorgeous Swedish inspired Catskills wedding”

Kat and Viktor fell in love with the magical forest surroundings, and Roxbury Barn and Estate allowed them to say “I do” among the trees while having the wedding reception of their dreams. “We’ve always thought the Catskills were magical and The Roxbury Barn allowed us to craft the wedding the way we wanted, without putting up too many guardrails.”

“Pine groves, a barn, and a whole lot of character”

A New York venue that’s loaded with rustic charm, gorgeous views and both indoor and outdoor space proved possible.” We were instantaneously drawn to the Roxbury Barn from the moment we visited the venue. We were particularly enamored with the ceremony site in the pine grove and the aesthetic of the barn, which is styled with chandeliers and a modern bar.”

“So lucky to find talented and amazing people”

“Make it your own! Do whatever makes you happy because nothing else matters. Also, focus on choosing awesome people to work with who you would actually want to spend the day with!”

“Those are happy tears!”

“Thirty years after I came out to my sister Elizabeth – that’s her walking me down the aisle – marriage was no longer an impossibility for me. I think we were overwhelmed at the thought of it. Those are happy tears!”

Falling in love with a venue

“It was a day of community, love, color, and home”

“It didn’t take us long to make this decision, falling in love with a venue that celebrates the best of the Catskills, including a beautiful pine grove, and a lovingly restored 19th century carriage barn. It is a region filled with quiet towns, antique stores, artist galleries, and picturesque mountain views, and we couldn’t wait to share one of our favorite places with all of our favorite people!

“We knew twenty feet into the venue that we wanted to get married there. The barn is in the middle of the woods, and there’s a forest of pine trees more than 100 feet tall that felt like a cathedral. And the views! We just knew this place and these mountains were perfect for us.”

This is the place!
